		ABOUT US
		- 1965 -	Mr Jean Rais started working in the ball bearing market in the early sixties and was one of the first distributors to start operating on the Italian market. The German manufacturer of rod ends and spherical bearings ASKUBAL enquires if Mr Rais was interested in introducing and distributing ASKUBAL products in Italy. In the sixties these products were highly innovative and little known on the market. In very little time Mr Rais manages to create a highly efficient distribution network covering OEM users in the mechanics industry and local retailers of mechanical transmission units.
		- 1983 -	Mr Rais founds Getecno s.r.l.: the new company not only takes over but expands the original business. The aim of the newly established company was and is “the domestic and international exclusive distribution and marketing of mechanical components for motion and power transmission used for the production of tooling machinery, food processing and packaging machinery in the textile industry and in the ship building, defence, aerospace and automotive sectors and mechanics applications in general.
		- 1988 -	Getecno changes its commercial strategy focussed on one single product and enlarges the basic manufacturing program to include RODOFLEX and RODOGRIP as well as RODOBAL. The RODOFLEX range features flexible couplings and the RODOGRIP range includes precision locking nuts with an integrated blocking system.
		- 1989 -	Getecno starts exporting to a number of European countries, primarily Scandinavia, on a regular basis and sales quickly reach the 15% mark and continue to increase.
		- 1990 -	Getecno reaches an agreement with the American Aurora Bearing Company for the distribution of AURORA products. The Aurora Bearing Company is market leader in the United States and represents the perfect complement the to RODOBAL range.
		- 1991 -	The range of product had increased significantly as had the number of employees and the incoming orders: the management decided to buy new premises to house the company offices and warehouses located near the A7 motorway exit of Genoa Est.
		- 1995 -	The expertise acquired in the industrial sector is applied to the more specialised sectors of motor vehicle and motorcycle racing.
		- 1997 -	The agreement with the Aurora Bearing Company is widened to cover the distribution of AURORA products in central European countries and the Mediterranean basin.
		- 1997 -	January, Getecno shows up officially as specialized vendor for motorsport quality rod ends and spherical bearings, participating together with Aurora Bearing Company, to Autosport International show in Birmingham UK
		- 1998 -	In view of further need warehouses spaces and new offices, new premises adjacent actual headoffice have been acquired and equipped
