RERS rod end sealing..

Depending on the type of equipment or machinery used and on the surroundings, it may be advisable to place a barrier between the rod end spherical couplings and the working environment for the following reasons:

  • Corrosive or contaminating agents (acids, dust or grime) are present in the working environment; without adequate protection such agents might damage the spherical couplings, reduce performance and shorten the rod end life span.

  • Rod ends with metal-to-metal spherical couplings must be greased or lubricated frequently: in order to prevent the lubricants from leaking and contaminating the working environment it is advisable to use RERS rubber sealings.

DR distance ring..

The seal is a neoprene cap equipped with two short sleeves; the cap fits on the rod end shank and the side sleeves protect the bolt or shaft passing through the inner ring of the rod end.

A DR distance ring fitted to the rod end inner spherical ring will prevent the neoprene sealing from being nipped or squeezed by the nuts and bolts.
The seal is fitted easily: pull the bottom sleeve open, preferably with ring pliers, and insert the rod end shank.

Neoprene RERS sealings are suitable for all male and female rod ends included in the Rodobal and Aurora ranges.
