RODOBAL® Rolling Bearings RFR and RMR

The new RODOBAL® series of rolling couplings extends the GETECNO range with a solution specifically engineered for high-speed applications, high positional accuracy, and extended service life. Manufactured in Europe and supported by dedicated stock availability, the range ensures reliable performance, reduced lead times, and competitive commercial positioning.

Distinctive feature

The RFR.. and RMR.. series rolling bearings integrate a double-row self-aligning ball bearing housed within a body designed in accordance with DIN/ISO dimensional standards, available with either internal (RFR) or external (RMR) thread configurations.

The construction is based on heat-treated steels and high-quality bearing steels. The raceways are hardened, precision ground, and lapped to ensure high rotational accuracy, excellent load-carrying capacity, and long operational life.

Stainless steel side seals protect the internal components from contamination and help preserve lubricant integrity over time.

Applications

Thanks to the extremely low friction of the rolling-contact system, the RODOBAL® RFR and RMR series are particularly suitable for high-speed applications requiring smooth operation, low noise levels, and minimal breakaway torque. Typical applications include food and beverage machinery, packaging and filling systems, general mechanical engineering, and aerospace-related equipment. The use of USDA-H1 certified lubricant further extends suitability to environments with strict hygiene requirements.

Stock availability, dedicated technical support, and the absence of minimum order quantities complete GETECNO’s service offering.

Advantages

The rolling-contact design enables low breakaway moment, rapid start-up behavior, high efficiency, and rotational speeds comparable to self-aligning roller bearing systems. The precision-machined contact surfaces significantly reduce noise, vibration, and wear, while long-lasting pre-lubrication ensures reduced maintenance requirements over time.

European manufacturing combined with direct distribution management ensures short lead times and a stable, reliable supply chain.

Definition

RODOBAL® rolling-couplings rod ends operate using a ball-based rolling system in which the rolling elements, positioned between the spherical inner ring and the housing, replace sliding friction with rolling motion.

This principle significantly reduces the contact surface area and therefore friction compared to traditional sliding solutions, ensuring smoother movement and higher efficiency even at elevated operating speeds.

Technical decription

The range is available in sizes from 6 to 30 and includes versions with internal thread (RFR..) or external thread (RMR..), including left-hand thread configurations. The inner ring is manufactured from bearing steel, hardened and precision ground to ensure dimensional stability and long-term performance. The body is made of case-hardened steel and features zinc-plated and chrome-plated surface treatments for enhanced corrosion resistance and surface protection.

The units are pre-lubricated with high-performance grease and, for heavy-duty applications, can be re-lubricated via dedicated grease fittings, ensuring extended service life under demanding operating conditions.
