Marine

Our product line is including mechanical parts specifically designed for application in marine environment (yachting, ship-building, off-shore, defence).

A “rod end” is a towing device with a threated pin, with an internal shperical ring, located in a bushing between the towing bore and the internal shperical ring.

The gliding surface is spherical and it make it possible both the complete rotation on the axis and the bore, and a certain tipping angle.

These components are useful to create rotating fastening, combined with lateral oscillation.

Commercial rod ends have standard dimension DIN and ISO, but different construption concepts, used materials and accuracy make the difference among types for generic use and limited performance or rod ends qualified for more severe applications, like in the marine sector, where corrosion due to oceanic environment and draughts represents a complication.

Stainless RODOBAL® rod ends are maintainance free, thanks to a PTFE compound anti-friction liner, inserted in steel bushing, where the spherical rings glides. Greasing is not necessary, the friction coefficent stays controlled and the coupling grip is prevented, even with heavy loads

Rod ends and spherical bearing with threads, precise and resistant spherical coupling for complete rotation. AURORA® and RODOBAL® with metrical measures compliant to DIN and ISO.

Maintainance free, thanks to a PTFE compound anti-friction liner. Greasing is not necessary, the friction coefficent stays controlled and the coupling grip is prevented, even with heavy loads.

Suitable for innovative transmission system or cable tray and awnings operations.
